Wooded Fire Pit Patio & Natural Boulder Wall
A private stone gathering space beneath the pines
The project
What We Built
The homeowners wanted an evening gathering space that felt like it belonged in the woods behind their home. We laid a large charcoal-toned paver patio in a random ashlar pattern around a centred fire pit, then framed the uphill edge with hand-placed natural boulders to hold the bank and form informal seating. Every stone was set on a compacted, screeded base so the surface drains and stays true.
Scope of work
- Site clearing, excavation and compacted aggregate base
- Random-pattern paver patio with soldier course border
- Circular fire pit foundation and stone surround
- Hand-set natural boulder retaining and seating wall
- Final grading, cleanup and polymeric jointing

What Clients Say About Work Like This
Real feedback from real projects across North Georgia.
"Professional and genuinely hard-working from the first day to the last. Our paver patio turned out beautiful and they cleaned up like they were never here. We use it constantly now."
"Our back yard dropped off so steeply we couldn't use half of it. Heritage cut the slope, built a curved block wall and gave us a level patio at the bottom. Two heavy storms since and not a single wash-out. They clearly know their base work."
"The fire pit patio they built has become the favourite part of our house. Random stone pattern, seating wall, lighting — every joint is tight and the whole thing drains perfectly. Worth every penny."
