Reclaiming a steep side yard as usable outdoor living space
The project
What We Built
This home sat on a sharp grade change that left the rear yard almost unusable. We cut into the hillside, built a sweeping curved segmental block wall with a finished cap, and set a stamped-pattern paver terrace at the base with wide stone steps leading down from the lawn. The result is a level gathering area carved out of ground the homeowners had written off, with the slope above stabilised and re-seeded.
